Kathleen Lankasky

Lankasky

Kathleen joined the Continuum of Care Project as a Disability Consultant in the fall of 2004.  Because she has a developmental disability herself,  Kathleen is able to add personal insight to her professional experience as she works with the direct care and education services provided by the Continuum of Care Project.

As her part in the continuing medical education classes given across the state by COC staff, Kathleen makes personal perspective presentations concerning emotional and medical issues faced by adults with developmental disabilities as they age.

Over the past thirty years, Kathleen has brought a very personal perspective to her professional work in the area of Developmental Disabilities.  Being born with cerebral palsy has given her many years of personal experience with, and insight into, the best and the worst aspects of medical care and therapeutics for people with dd.   Her most recent professional work has concentrated especially in the areas of aging with a disability, maintaining life-long wellness, and women’s health issues.

Kathleen graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yale University with a B.A. in Psychology in 1975.
