Susan Weiss, M.Sc.
Susan Weiss has been working in the fields of social services, professional/technical writing, and disability advocacy for over 28 years. She was the Editor in Chief of Bridges Newspaper for 11 of those years. Susan and Bridges won a Community Service award from the Southwest Disability Conference several years ago. She has provided mediation services over the years as the Statewide Coordinator of The Aupair Homestay Program that was through World Learning Organization and School of International Training in Brattleboro, Vermont. This was also implemented in her capacity as a Job developer with the State of New Mexico and The New Mexico Commission for the Blind. She served as the Statewide Coordinator for The Arc of New Mexico for 7 years, as well as providing on and off-site conflict management supports as Job Developer, Case Manager and Consultant.
In her capacity of a contractor with Southwest Center for Independent Living, Durango, Colorado, Ms.Weiss developed a five part module on Traumatic Brain Injury-& created Adult Education Peer Mentorship Curriculum and trained consumers on the modules)
Susan received a Master of Science Degree from the Creighton University School of Law in Negotiation and Dispute Resolution in 2012.
